Located adjacent to The Lodge and the Torrey Pines Golf Course, the Torrey Pines State Reserve has 2,000 magnificent acres of protected rare Torrey Pine trees, miles of unspoiled beaches and a lagoon that is vital to migrating seabirds. With more than eight miles of trails, you can explore the serenity of Torrey Pines in the same atmosphere as the first settlers to California.

Del Mar Race Track

Only a few furlongs from the Pacific Ocean, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club (DMTC) hosts the San Diego County Fair and live racing from mid-July to early September.

Scripps Aquarium

The Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public exploration center for the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the aquarium features more than 60 habitats of fish and invertebrates from the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest to the tropical waters of Mexico and beyond.

La Jolla Playhouse

Under the artistic direction of Christopher Ashley, the La Jolla Playhouse on the campus of UCSD is a hotbed for musicals and plays that have gone on to Broadway and stages around the world. The Playhouse won the 1993 Tony Award® for America's Outstanding Regional Theatre.

MOCA La Jolla

With spectacular ocean views and distinctive architectural design, the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla is the region’s foremost forum devoted to the exploration and presentation of the art of our time, presenting works across all media created since 1950.

La Jolla Shores

Located only three miles from The Lodge at Torrey Pines, La Jolla Shores is a wide, mile-long beach with soft sand and gentle waves, making it an ideal spot for families, sunbathers and beginner surfers. The Lodge at Torrey Pines Beach Program offers guests complimentary chauffeured luxury car service, folding chairs, beach towels and beach toys. Picnic lunches can be arranged with the concierge. Service is subject to availability.
